Why do humans get attached to a person/fall in love?

Initially it's initiated by the sex hormones oestrogen and testosterone. As the feelings develop your body will start to release adrenaline when you see this person, making you stressed/nervous and excited, your heart hate will increase etc. and serotonin and dopamine which cause the body to feel pleasure/happiness. That's more of the initial attraction that leads up to falling in love.

Oxytocin is the hormone that is released during sex (orgasm), thus the more a couple has sex the more the bond should form between them as this is the main pair bonding hormone. Actually the same hormone that women produce during childbirth forming the bond from mother to child so it's very potent. Vassopressin is the hormone released after sex, this helps secure the bond and is used in forming long term bonds which keep the couple commited
