the science of suicide is the science of depression and 'mental illness'........so it is a large 'science'..............all of mental health.......psychology, social sciences, families, environment, physical , chemical, hormonal, etc..........even spiritual which may be the most importand of all,
If you are looking for contributing factors, i would answer the same........along with the personal psychology that has been documented frequently.........search reasons
the desire to harm oneself or others is a mental illness. The fact is that humans, like all animals, have a survival instinct. It's built into our cells, which have remarkable recuperative abilities and which have their own will to survive. Suicide is entirely unnatural, and goes against our reflexes and our instincts, which are designed to keep us safe and help us respond to dangers. Even a suicidal person, if they touch a hot pot, pulls away. It's because the instinctive nature of humans is to live. If one chooses to fight that instinct, it's a mental illness that should be treated through therapist or, possibly, with psychiatrist-prescribed medications.
it's caused by an imbalance in brain chemicals. that's why people are medicated if they have suicidal thoughts, because it can help even out your mind. and just like on commercials where they're like 'you should stop ..... if you have any thoughts of suicide'. I don't know the specifics, like the chemicals and stuff, but that's what causes the desire to commit suicide. but it's a fascinating subject in itself..
Hurting people hurt others. It's not you. They are the ones who have a problem. They are sick and being mean makes them feel better. People/kids/parents do mean things or lie to manipulate. They just want the reaction so they can get high feel good from it. The words are not true. Abusers use tricky words. I know parents can say things that are true partially, but is it right to bring up the past over and over? You have to look at the agenda and not just the words alone to see the abuse sometimes. Look for what's right. Abuse is anything that's not uplifting so forget what truth is being used right then.
